Kybella is an FDA-approved non-surgical treatment to permanently remove neck fat in the chin area known as a double chin. It is composed of deoxycholate or deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that is known to break down and destroy fat cells, which then get naturally eliminated from the body. When applied underneath the chin, the result is a more streamline jawline contour. 

It is indicated in those who do not wish to undergo invasive surgery like liposuction, but wish to still achieve reduction of fat and better chin profile making you look younger and thinner. 


WHAT TO EXPECT

Treatment
A Kybella treatment can take as little as five to ten minutes. A series of injections are placed in a pattern on the areas under the chin which need treatment.

Fat reduction in the area of treatment is gradual and improves over a period of weeks to months.

You can resume normal day-to-day activities almost immediately following the procedure.​

​Side Effect
The most significant and discomforting side effect is swelling, which can become significant, but typically lasts several days and up to 1 week. Swelling is a sign of the product working and actively destroying fat cells.
